YIC 2015 SRCC

With an amazing experience at IIT- Delhi, we organised the second YIC at SRCC from 27th- 29th March 2015. YIC had got a tremendous response once again and we selected the 100 best minds to play the game. The first two days of amazing speaker sessions took place at Patel Chest Auditorium while the finale task was conducted at SRCC.

The delegates had an interactive session with speakers and mentors at YIC. We had Carlson Dalton – Communications Head, Facebook India; Annurag Batra – Chairman, BW|Businessworld; Rajiv Vij – CEO, Carzonrent; Yamini Singh – Editor, Everything Experiential, BW; Piyush Suri – Co-founder and CEO, 5by7; Anubhav Razdan – Business Development, Zo Rooms; Shravan Thampi – Business Development, Lenskart; Ajay Chaturvedi – Author and Social Entrepreneur; Piyush Tewari – Founder and CEO, SaveLife Foundation; Yogesh Shukla – General Secretary, Vishwagram, Govt. of India, Runjhun Gupta – Founder and CEO, ZipOut, Shwetank Verma – Founder, MyHealthMate, Visham Sikand – Founder, India Health Organisation & Goals101 and Priyank Narayan – Director, Ashoka University.

While the delegates enjoyed the short and effective sessions during three days, their excitement heightened when they were given the challenge of this Young India Challenge. The challenge was to prepare a solution which would improve the current education system and help in more result oriented education and growth. It had to be accompanied with an app and other prerequisites. Our delegates worked really hard and were finally ready for their 5 minute presentation at the end of the day and it was interesting how the participants came up with different solutions to the problem.

The amazing three days ended with a prize distribution ceremony at Patel Chest Auditorium where delegates interacted with mentors and discussed their future plans and how this #DoWhatYouLove movement has helped them.

As always, the night ended by felicitating our winning team members and the most innovative delegate (Vibhuti Bajaj).
