The fourth YIC started on 31st October. Exactly the same date as the first YIC in IIT Delhi one year back. It was a special experience because it was first anniversary of Young India Challenge. But this time YIC was not an unknown name, all thanks to #DoWhatYouLove hangouts which have been organised in various colleges and schools and have helped us spread this movement.
It was all together a difference experience to host YIC completely in a Delhi University College. Like every YIC, we had some new speakers and mentors who joined us and helped us make this #DoWhatYouLove movement a success. A few of the new mentors and speakers were Onkar Khullar – the young entrepreneur and three time college dropout; Nehha Bhatnagar – Founder & President, Sarvam Foundation; Yatin Thakur – Co-founder, CoWorkin; Daniel Vaverka – Project Manager, Home Credit.
This time the challenge was not the only exciting thing on the schedule. A beautiful award night was set up which was moderated by Aarti Khetarpal, who was a delegate at first YIC in IIT – Delhi and now is a successful model, actress and TV presenter with NDTV Prime.
As always, the night ended by felicitating our winning team members and the most innovative delegate (Akshat Mohan Awasthi) and an awe-inspiring performance by our former Happiness Team member and an aspiring musician, Vaibhav Naik.
